TAIA Screening

Screened against the lists. Decided by a person.

A sanctions-screening subscription for small Swiss financial firms: external asset managers, family offices and fintechs.

In development, not yet in service. Pilots for a small number of firms.

See how it works

01 How it works

Three lists. Your name book. A person’s decision.

The institution decides; TAIA Screening supports.

01 The lists

Three public lists

SECO, the EU consolidated list and OFAC SDN, which will be fetched nightly.

Each list is used in the service once its terms for commercial use are confirmed; the UN Security Council list is not used until its licence terms allow it.

Recorded for each list
Its source, its date and its number of entries.
If a list cannot be read
The result is “list could not be read, sent to a person”, never “clear”.

02 The screening

Single names and CSV batches

Fuzzy name matching against a fixed threshold.

When a list changes
Your name book is screened again, and new possible matches enter a queue.

03 The decision

A person, with a written reason

Every possible match goes to a person, who decides “match” or “not a match” with a written reason.

The record keeps
Who decided, when, the list version, the threshold, the decision and the reason.

02 Records and data

For your auditor, and where the names are kept.

01 Export

For your auditor

A CSV of the period’s screenings, decisions and list versions, and a PDF summary on request.

02 Your data

Where the names will be kept

It will run in Google Cloud’s europe-west6 region (Zürich), and the names you screen will be stored there.

On your behalf
TAIA will process your clients’ names on your behalf, under a data processing agreement signed before the first real name is screened.
Retention and deletion
Your administrator sets the retention period and can delete records from the name book.

03 The subscription

What one subscription includes

Each subscription includes 3 users and a 2,000-record name book.

Not in version 1: PEP screening and adverse-media screening. Version 1 screens names against the three sanctions lists above.

Pilot

Ask about a pilot.

TAIA Screening is in development and not yet in service. A small number of firms can take part in a pilot.

There is no self sign-up: TAIA opens the accounts for the people your firm names.

This form opens a message in your own mail client, addressed to info@taia.ch. Nothing is sent or stored by this website.
