01 The movement

AI is the mainspring. TAIA is the escapement, the crown and the case back.

It makes each step countable, keeps the decision with a person, and leaves a record you can open later.

Power doesn't keep time. Constraint does.

  1. 01 The mainspring

    Fast preparation is real energy.

    AI reads, extracts, compares and drafts. That speed is worth having. Energy alone does not count time: a year on, the question is which source, which rule, and who.

    TAIA does not replace the AI or make it faster. It makes the same energy countable. The institution chooses the mainspring.

  2. 02 The escapement

    Every step is allowed, held or handed over.

    Rules met, sources attributed: the step moves.
    Hold
    Evidence missing, conflicting or unsupported: the system stops. A refusal is a valid output.
    Hand over
    Above the threshold, the case goes to the authorised person.

  3. 03 Three hands

    One moment, three readings.

    The document says what was written that day. The model says what it extracted and proposed. The person says why they decided. None replaces another, and where they disagree, the disagreement stays visible. Folding them into one hand would not simplify the watch; it would make it unreadable.

  4. 04 The crown

    Only a person sets the time.

    Preparation can be shared among models, agents and checks. Authority cannot. A licensed, accountable person decides and owns the reason. Neither the model nor the orchestration is the crown.

    Which workflows the crown covers depends on the scope. It does not cover every decision.

  5. 05 The case back

    A record you can open later.

    Engraved on the back, every revision is a new line. Nothing is painted over. A correction is added as a new event: what was known then and what is known now stay apart.
    Hallmark
    Where configured, an independent trust service fixes when and by whom a record was made. That shows the record existed. It does not show the decision was right, or accepted by a regulator.
    Loupe · Proof
    Not a part of the watch but the tool of whoever opens the back later: check the service lines and the hallmark, rebuild the path. It issues no certificate and no verdict.
    The future should be allowed to learn. It should not be allowed to falsify the past.

  6. 06 The wrist

    Built for the wrist, not the bench.

    Tired, hurried, well-meaning people. Models that never phrase the same input the same way twice. Lists that update overnight. Policies that changed last month. A good watch survives that by its geometry, not by a sensor for every case: a few rules that hold in every position. When a rule does not hold, the system stops rather than playing the hero.

    1. Keep the three apart.
    2. Pass every step through the gate.
    3. A refusal is an output.
    4. A person holds the crown.
    5. Keep the time.

    A real Swiss watch is serviced too. TAIA does not hide a mistake: it writes a service line.
